As the adventurers set in for the night at the watchtower, they got to talking and learned more about eachother.
Thia and Rolen had been traveling together, leaving the City of Towers, Sharn, but did not say much of their reasons for doing so.
Thia had been put through assassin training by House Cannith, but she was no longer needed at the end of the war and took her first chance to leave the ranks of House Cannith.
Name: Thia
Race: Elf
Class: Ranger
Weapon: Long Bow
Rolen had fought in the Last War for House Lyrandar. He had been part of the crew of an air ship, but hesitated to elaborate too much. He did mention that he had met Thia during the Last War while he was transporting her.
Name: Rolen
Race: Half-elf
Class: Ranger
Weapon: Long Swords (dual)
Novakri had been wandering to Sharn and explained that she was on a spiritual journey. She relayed that the Sovereign Host had sent her on a quest to heal someone who she did not yet know in the City of Towers.
Name: Novakri
Race: Kalashtar
Class: Paladin
Weapon: Long Sword
Zanne explained that he had been looking for spare parts at the Cannith creation forge, but had been ambushed by goblins upon exiting the compound.
Name: Zanne
Race: Human
Class: Artificier
Weapon: Crossbow
Pierce did not have much to say. He was as he was built and that was all. The news of the end of the Last War did not seem to phase him as he had no knowledge of the Last War to begin with. The more questions the adventurers asked of him, the more that they realized that Pierce was a clean slate, almost as if he had just been brought into the world for the first time when he was placed over the sigil.
Name: Pierce
Race: Warforged
Class: Fighter
Weapon: Greatsword
The adventurers agreed to set out in the morning for the Cannith creation forge. Some were more concerned with the creation date of Pierce. All were intrigued at the aspect of the wonders that the creation forge might contain.
More Goblins
Mol, 9 Therendor, 998 YK
The party inquisitively followed Rolen as he peeked out what used to be the front door of the old watchtower. Goblins! Rolen could see a pair of hobgoblin archers in the distance flanked by a small hoard of lesser goblins. The party rushed out to vanquish the goblins. As soon as most of the party was out of the tower, they quickly realized that the goblins were a bit more organized than usual. That was when Thia noticed a goblin underboss sidle up to the archers and draw a sword - she knew the battle would be a fight.
Pierce seemed to light up with a new found energy and charged from the back of the group and took a large swing at the underboss, who deftly side-stepped the attack and called his archers away from the large cleaving machine. The party continued on, letting loose bolts and arrows, thrusting sword through goblin flesh.
Just as the tide of battle seemed to turn in favor of the adventurers, from the other side of the tower, a smaller group of three goblins appeared, flanking Rolen. Several hits were dealt to Rolen before he could take cover inside the tower. Once inside, the goblins had him cornered, forcing Rolen to deftly battle his way out, crowding his main exit with their corpses.
Thia kept on the underboss for the partial cover of a tree, letting loose arrow after arrow, eventually felling him. The last sound on the battlefield was the deafening sound of Pierce cleaving through the last hobgoblin archer.
The party left the bodies where they lay and took refuge in the watchtower for the night. The goblin menace seemed to be quelled for the time being.

The Adventure Begins
Mol, 9 Therendor, 998 YK
As the sun began to set over the plains north of the King's Forest, a pair of adventurers fleeing Sharn sought refuge in an old abandoned watch tower. Close behind them was a wandering Kalashtar traveling toward Sharn, also seeking refuge for the night. Upon entering the tower, the Kalashtar, Novakri, heard the shout from a half-elf, "Goblins!" A small group of three goblins descended upon the three adventurers - good odds for a fight. The three quickly dispatched with the three goblins, only to come across a goblin warrior and a goblin hexer with two captives - a human in ropes and some kind of mechanical man in chains, neither of which were conscious. The human was over some kind of glowing sigil on the ground, while the mechanical man was simply propped in a corner, out of the way. The half-elf, Rolen, immediately recognized the sigil as being awkwardly similar to the bull shaped sigil of House Cannith.
The group struggled with the hexer and warrior, defeating them in the end. During the battle, Novakri stepped onto the sigil and felt a pulse of energy. However, when the elf, Thia, stepped upon it, she was immediately struck into a trance, hearing the faint phrase - "Five at the brink stand as one against the tempest's roar..."
After the battle, Rolen rescued the human and Thia from the power of the sigil. Thia immediately regained consciousness when she was pulled from the sigil, relaying the words that were ringing through her head. The human regained consciousness and let the adventurers know that his name was Zanne and that the goblins had ambushed him as he had fled from a Cannith creation forge with a non-activated Warforged. Upon being untied, Zanne ran to the Warforged to check to see what was left. Zanne seemed more interested in the completeness of the Warforged than anything else. Thia and Rolan discussed what to do with the Warforged while Novakri observed while tending to wounds. Rolan and Thia decided to drag the inactive Warforged over the sigil to see what would happen.
As the Warforged was being dragged across the floor, Zanne appeared to be getting tools out to open up the mechanical being. Upon being placed upon the sigil, the floor pulsated and a faint outline of a bull sigil was seen upon the shoulder pauldrons of the Warforged. His eyes lit up and he stood up and immediately drew his sword and screamed in a most piercing mechanical note. In a panic, Thia and Rolan decided to pull the Warforged off of the sigil. The mechanical man did not stop screeching for a short while, but the pitch of the note was such that it seemed an eternity. When he stopped emitting such a din, Thia cautiously approached him and introduced the party in a friendly manner. The Warforged lowered his weapon and asked for his location and the current time.
The Warforged was quickly given a name by Thia - Pierce. Pierce relayed to them his time and date of creation. To everyone's surprise, he was constructed in 997 YK, nearly a full year after the Last War! Surely, this must be an error of some odd sort. Pierce was able to tell them that he was constructed at a Cannith creation forge, but could not place it exactly. Zanne grudgingly let go of the location of the Creation Forge in which he had found Pierce. Then, excitedly, Zanne told of the many wonders that still lay in the dormant Creation Forge and suggested that the adventurers accompany him. He suggested that there might be some weapons for the adventurers to take.
Stacking the bodies of the slain across an opening in one of the walls, the adventurers mended and asked few questions of eachother. Night was about to fall and twilight was upon the adventurers. The adventurers were ready to turn in for the night when Rolen suggested that they take a quick look outside.
